Radiography is an imaging technique that uses X-rays, a form of radiation like light or radio waves to produce pictures of the inside of your body. It is a painless and safe procedure. X-rays are the most frequently used form of medical imaging, using a very small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures. An X-ray is normally used to supplement – not to replace – your doctor’s history-taking and examination.
