World Health Day 2017 – Depression: let’s talk

07-04-2017

In 1948 on this day the World Health Organization (WHO) started their tireless work as a part of the UN.

Now today, the 7th of April we should stop for a moment to remember and thank to WHO their efforts to make the world a better place, and to think of our health as not something that’s granted rather something we have to work for every day.

Today WHO is launching their year-long campaign on the topic: depression. We, at Medicover would also like to draw Your attention to mental health issues. Nowadays more than 300 million people suffer from depression and this number is rising unstoppably.

Let’s talk about it! Let’s talk about depression and the importance of mental health! Do not be afraid to ask for help –whether it’s professional or a friend who helps you- when you need it, and give a helping hand to those in need. Sometimes a few nice words can make a difference.
